Located at 812 W Randolph St, Chicago, IL 60607, Kama - West Loop operates as an indian restaurant serving Chicago in Illinois. This page gathers the practical details people usually look for before visiting: where it is, how to reach it, when it opens and how customers rate it.
Portion sizes and pricing swing widely across this group, from a $10 lunch bowl to a multi-course tasting menu at an upscale sushi counter, so checking recent reviews and photos is more useful than the price range alone. In Chicago, dinner reservations for popular izakaya, hot pot and Korean BBQ spots fill up on Friday and Saturday nights, so booking ahead or arriving at opening is worth it. Many restaurants across Illinois run daily lunch specials on weekdays that are not listed on the dinner menu, so it is worth asking. Halal, vegetarian and gluten-free options vary a lot by kitchen; call ahead if you have a dietary restriction rather than assuming the menu will note it.
Hours are published for 2 days a week. On most of those days it is open 4β10 PM. Hours in the United States do change around federal holidays and long weekends, so a quick call before a special trip is sensible. The listed phone number is (312) 898-2668. Chicago is in Illinois, in the Midwest, where summers are warm, winters are cold and snowy, and most errands are done by car; businesses keep steady year-round hours with the usual holiday changes. Getting around Chicago is easiest by car; street parking is metered in busy downtown areas, and most suburban businesses have their own lot. Ride-share apps such as Uber and Lyft operate across Illinois's larger cities, and public transit varies from extensive to minimal.

This place is really cute on the inside, and the presentation is nice. The food was good, but it wasnβt anything special. Most of the dishes were covered in curry sauce, which overpowered the other flavors, and there wasnβt much meat in them. Our waiter also misheard our order and only put in one entrΓ©e for a table of three, which made the experience even more disappointing. The biggest letdown was the lamb chops. They were incredibly small, especially for nearly $60. For that price, I expected a much larger portion and better quality. Overall, the atmosphere is charming, and the food is decent, but I donβt think itβs worth the price. You can save your money and get better-tasting Thai food with more generous portions at a local family-owned restaurant. I wouldnβt spend $60 on lamb chops here when you can buy the same amount at the grocery store for a fraction of the cost.

This place has been on my list for so long and itβs very worth trying! Right when we walked in, it was a little chilly but the hostess accommodated very well for us and sat us in a warmer area. Our server Mayra was amazing and super knowledgeable about the entire menu. She kept things honest with us so we really appreciated that. Every single staff member working was very kind and overall I have zero complaints. Must Get - Tandoori Lamb Chops - Chicken Tikka Masala with Garlic Naan - Taco Trio - Crispy Chili Potatoβs

We had the best time at this location of Kama. The cocktails were outstanding with a lot of creativity in preparation and presentation. We ordered several small and large plates and there was not a single item we didn't enjoy. Service was prompt and friendly. Amazing atmosphere as well.

Really good food with some unique takes on how certain dishes, like butter chicken are prepared (a half chicken for it is pretty unique). The wait isn't too bad and the atmosphere lends itself to being pretty cozy while at the same time open. The prices are very "West Loop"-y, with most dishes feeling pretty overpriced. Rice or Naan is not included with many of the dishes even if the classic interpretation of the dishes would come with it. Think $5 extra for a bowl of basmati rice. Really solid place if you're swinging by on your company's card or want to try a different take on Indian food for the first time. Prices make you think twice about coming twice.

The service was fantastic. Our server was incredibly friendly and attentive. We thoroughly enjoyed the restaurant week menu. We particularly loved the beet salad, lamb, tacos, curry mussels, Seabass, and lamb chops. We also added an entrΓ©e of butter chicken, which we could have skipped as it was quite dry. Both the mocktails and spirited beverages were delicious. The restaurant itself is beautiful. However, during peak times, it can get quite loud.
